This week’s episode sees the launch of SketchWork TV (SketchWorks) Channel Two! The SketchWork TV archive is about to be attacked by a masked robber - can the infamous duo keep hold of their secrets or will the robber make them accessible to the whole planet.This short film sees some use of HitFilm or AE particle effects as well as some planar tracking using Mocha. This weeks SketchWork TV (SketchWorks) episode pays homage to "The Terminator" and is entitled "Terminated". This story follows two circus workers who are suddenly plunged into a world where they are hunted by a mechanical being from the future.This episode envolved a lot of different techniques ranging from the Terminator vision and scanner to the slow down of the bullet being fired, time travel and the paradox effect. To create the visual effects for this episode we used a combination of After Effects (AE), HitFilm (FXhome) and Softimage XSI (3D). Today's SketchWork TV (SketchWorks) short film, "The Trouble with Time Travel" looks into the idea of having a device that allows you to travel through time. This device is somehow flawed as it will only allow you to travel random short distances resulting is some very funny moments especially when Dean comes face to face with himself.This episode involved cloning characters in a very simple way which we will go into more detail on channel two. Once again, for this episode we used FXhome's new product HitFilm Ultimate. HitFilm has now been released and is available from the SketchWork TV online store. Todays SketchWork TV (SketchWorks) short film, "The Hero Trial" is the start of a new mini series of super hero short films called "The Protectors" and the character DCN. DCN is waiting for his hero trial to see if he has what it takes to enrol in the hero academy.Is he going to be good enough? This episode involved tracking and quite a lot of visual effect work to get the hero powers looking really good. Also, for this episode we were very fortunate to have crash tested a beta copy of FXhome's new flagship product HitFilm Ultimate. HitFilm will be available from the SWTV online store upon release - stay tuned!
